We pay a higher than retail prices for Hot Wheels and yet none are seen on pegs

Another VW T1 Panel added to my VW collection. This time in Scooby-Doo Series. This collectors choice casting is no stranger to all of us. It only appears in the premium range. Rubber wheels metal base and a usual guest in the Pop Culture series.

I believe this was launched in Christmas last year and goes well with my Mystery Machine Christmas theme custom. However till date it has not arrived in Singapore where collecting Hot Wheels is a hit and miss here. International collectors are paying much higher retail prices than U.S and yet it may not even arrived to our retail stores.
All the hype by famous bloggers / Youtubers make collectors from other regions pay the extra bucks to their reseller or partners. This VW T1 Van was passed to me by my pal who found it a a Hobby Store which charge higher than retail prices. A big thanks to my all friends for the help along the way.

Just a recap of the prices and availability of Pop Culture / Retro Entertainment worldwide.

It’s an irony that although they are mostly make in Thailand my friends are paying a lot more in fact almost triple than U.S.A collectors. Scalpers issue aside it’s no doubt that collecting Hot Wheels are expensive for us but shouldn’t we deserved to get these international assortment release on time as well?
